Soon after the attack in New York on 9/11, the Patriot Act was established in (2001). Ten years later it continues to be utilized and has many times been extended with few changes by either party in power. The Patriot Act offers law enforcement a great deal of power in the protection of the United States and it authorized a great many new and enhanced tools to do so.
Please share with me in a 2-3 page APA your opinion of the Patriot Act. If you are in favor of it I want to know specific reasons why. For example, discuss some of the new tools given law enforcement and government, and explain why they are necessary. Of course if you are not in favor of the Patriot Act provisions, explain why as well. No matter your position, include information to back up your opinion.
