Telefonia was a uprising market that focused manly on its growth. The attention the region received was delightful due to the language and cultural shared with Spain. Telefonica was slower to expand in Europe because of a tacit agreement that was shared with other european telecommunications so that marketers would not have to compete with one another. Telefonica still was able to take advantage because it established customer base and avoided the start up cost that would come with greenfield operation. This is what made telefonica more competitive and gave the ability to grow more rapidly then they were suppose to respond.
