Taxonomy of motivations

Fiske (2010) introduces a "BUC(K)ET" taxonomy of motivations. Motives are not only personal-bottled up within with no influence from the outside world-but instead are at interplay with events in the real world. Choose one from the buc(k)et. Examine your selected motive in the context of today's society. For illustration, how do/does ______ (pick one: for illustration, economics, technological changes, some trendy issue in the workplace, religious experiences, the various -isms of life, social media-the list is endless) impact how people experience, respond to and try to realize your chosen motive-driven goal?
