This story from Bloomberg News states that wind power is now cheaper than coal power in Australia which also happens to be the world's largest coal exporter (Paton, 2013).
What factors do you think make this a reality in Australia but in the United States it seems that coal is still a cheaper source of energy? Taking the lessons from the example of Australia, can you synthesize a policy plan for the United States that would lead us toward more rapid expansion of wind and solar energy production?
