Pick a myth from Book 6 of the Metamorphoses and show how it exemplifies the overall theme of divine punishment. Then show how the myth before or the myth after the oNe you chose links with your chosen myth. For example, how does the end of one myth preface the myth following it? How does it set up the story?
Take note, as you compare the myths, that there might be changes in the way the theme is handled: for instance, some scholars have noticed that, despite the punishment, there is definite praise of the human overachiever, but you can find other differences if you read the myths closely.
