Question: You mentioned managers having different styles of training, which is true of most types of in-person or instructor led training. In general, training takes strong leaders and managers that have patience. I found a great article written by NC State University that discusses this very need, which involves training leaders to train others in a more positive manner. I will admit that I am one of those types that lacks patience at times; however, for the most part, I am pretty patient with those around me in the various professional settings that I am involved.

In my own personal experience, I have found training to be rewarding as well as a great learning experience because it helps to bring us back to our own reality at times when we forget what it was like to be new or less experienced at our work. Take a look at this article and share your thoughts with the class about some of the important elements you saw that can be of greater use in your own training environments at work. What are some of the elements you would like to see improved? Why?
