A solid sphere of radius a is surrounded by a conducting spherical shell of inner radius b and outter radius c.

A) Calculate the capacitance of this system of conductors.

B) Suppose a charge +Q is placed on the inner conductor and a charge -Q is placed on the outer conductor. Calculate the energy stored in the resulting charge ditribution by two different methods: (i) using the expression 1/2 CV^2 and (ii) calculating the energy stored in the electric field.

C) Now suppose a charge +2Q is placed on the inner conductor and a charge -Q is placed on the out conductor. what is the surface charge density on each of the three surfaces in the problem?
