A few of the pieces of this strategy are below; Pull 25 cents of profit from each new dollar of sales as demand in emerging markets increases Apply engineering expertise from suppliers inside Caterpillar factories Apply quality-control expertise from suppliers inside Caterpillar factories. The overarching theme of this supply chain strategy is diversity Through this supplier diversity CAT will be better able to provide a variety of specialized products to unique business markets and regions.
