Firefighters responded to a call to rescue a small kitten stranded on the top superstructure of a bridge. Just as a rescuer was about to make the lifesaving "grab", the kitten panicked and jumped, falling all the way to the grassy riverbank 100 feet below.
How fast, in miles per hour, was the kitten traveling? (It should be noted that the kitten survived the fall with no apparent injuries. He was subsequently adopted by the fire company and lives at the firehouse today.) They named him "Thud."
