Discussion Post: Scope of Practice
Identify a minimum of 6 members of the interdisciplinary team that you regularly collaborate with to meet the needs of your patients (FAmily Nurse Practitioner , Acute Care Nurse Practitioner , Registered Nurses, Physicians, Physician's Assistant, Pharmacist, Medical Assistants)
Identify the certifying body/ regulating agency of the disciplines you selected (i.e. Texas Board of Nursing, Texas Medical Board etc.) How does the team member become certified in their specialty? Who regulates their practice?
What are the licensure requirements for each of the identified disciplines? Be specific.
Summarize the scope of practice of each discipline identified and discuss whether or not they practice within their scope.
The response should include a reference list. One-inch margins, Using Times New Roman 12 pnt font, double-space and APA style of writing and citations.
