Every life has a meaning. Our inaction and action have rewards and consequences (karma), but it's not always direct. The goal is to be enlightened and to be humble and appreciative with what we've been given. The other lesson is that things happen for a reason...whether it's suffering or happiness... we have to learn from it...and appreciate it.
