Article Research Assignment: Marketing Media Strategy
The purpose of this assignment is to acquaint you with the sources for advertising media news and to demonstrate the breadth of the advertising media field.
Find and review an article that is directly and primarily related to advertising media. The article should expand your knowledge and understanding of advertising media. For instance, it could be about a new advertising medium, a new way to combine two media, new research techniques in media, a creative use of a traditional medium, or a campaign where the media strategy played an active role in the creative direction. This article should be at least 300 words in length.
Sources for the article are likely to be Media Week, Advertising Age, Adweek, mediapost, effie, or even The Wall Street Journal. The source doesn't really matter, as long as it is reputable and the article meets the assignment requirements.
In no more than 600 words, summarize the high points of the article. Explain why it was significant or enlightening to you and how it broadened your understanding of media and its role in advertising. Your write-up should include these four sections:
1) This article deals with.
2) The main points relative to media are.
3) The significance of these key points to advertisers or their agencies is.
4) The article was informative and enlightening to me because.
Format your assignment according to the following formatting requirements:
