I. Traditional division of labor in the family and gender differences in labor market earnings reinforce one another-why? Explain in the light of labor market discrimination.
II. While women have made substantial progress in reducing the gender segregation in occupation, their representation in STEM fields still remains bleak. Do you think this is a problem? Why? Suggest some remedies in the light of our class discussions related to interconnected factors such as human capital investment, other relevant supply side factors and labor market discrimination.
