Ageism: Alive and Kicking

Watch: Growing Old in a New Age: Myths and Realities of Aging (57 min, 42)

Studying aspects of aging, particularly those dealing with health status decline and death and dying can be a bit depressing. However, by shifting to a focus doing the best with what we have, helps us see that even with declining health and the death of loved ones, there can be many positive aspects to aging. On that note, I have a little video clip to share from a 1999 documentary called "Surfing for Life." I recommend watching the whole documentary when you have time and access (Netflix, etc.), but for now please watch this trailer about surfers in the 60s to 90s.
