Consider the extent to which this statement can serve as a framework for change in schools. Give illustrations to validate your answer.

c) Examine the concepts distributed leadership (Brian Caldwell, 2006) and ‘flattening of structures’ (Thomas Friedman, 2006) as applied to education. How far can such concepts improve the effectiveness and efficiency of the schools and as well give an opportunity for the school system to reach global destinations? Give illustrations to validate your answer.

Question 2: Raising the stakes in schools needs transformation as significant, systematic, sustained change which secures high level achievements for all students in all settings (Brian Caldwell, 2006).  Examine critically this statement in the framework of governance, organizational capital and knowledge work and knowledge workers (Peter Drucker, 1999).

Question 3: Define the concepts high capacity authentic leadership (Robert Starratt, 2003) and Master Strategist (Ketan Patel, 2005) as applied to school heads and examines the extent to which these  concepts, their power and principle can be adapted  in our schools.

Question 4: Examine the extent to which the School Development Plan is a device for educational analysis in the framework of micro-planning.  Explain your answer with proper illustrations.

Question 5: Student’s attitudes to teachers and to the learning process are influenced by the student’s social groupings in the school which reflect the structure of the surrounding community.

Validate this statement with respect to the total pattern of interaction in the school ‘milieu’ specially the socio-cultural context in which the student growths.
