Steam enters a turbine at 40 bar and 400 degree C, at a velocity of 200m/s and exits at 36.2 degree C as saturated vapor, at a velocity of 100 m/s. If the turbine work output is 600 kj/kg, determine:

a) The heat loss.

b) The entropy generation assuming that the control surface temperature Tb is the average temperature of the steam considering both inlet and exit.

c) The entropy generation if the control surface temperature Tb = To = 298 K, which is the ambient temperature.
