The class will be broken down into groups of 5-7 students depending on enrollment. Each group will responsible for creating an agency that will address one of the social problems/phenomena that are discussed during the duration of the course. The written project should be between 7-10 pages in length. Each group will be responsible for presenting the information concerning their agency in the last two weeks of the course.

The groups will need to address the following in their papers and presentations:

1. The type of agency and the problem/phenomena addressed.

2. A name for the agency.

3. The creation of an Executive Board to oversee the agency. (The Board should be made up of a president, vice president, treasurer, secretary and general members) Each board member should have a specialty related to the operation of the agency. (Ex. An attorney that can assist with overseeing the legal ramifications of the agency)

4. A Mission Statement for the agency. (This should detail what the agency is prepared to do and how)

5. The staff of the agency. Why are certain staff members needed? (Ex. If counseling is an aspect of the agency, mental health professionals may be needed)

6. What days are services offered?

7. What types of programming and methods support the mission of the agency?

Things we offer and that's what I have to write about

-Radiowshow
-DVD, Books
-Talk Show
-Personal counsling
And why we offer it

8. Statistics that support the selected offerings of programming and methods used to address the problem/phenomena.

9. How is the agency funded? (Grants, endowments etc.)

10. Does this sort of agency actually exist? If so, how is the group agency different?

Students are expected to find published information to support the mission of their agency and cite those works used in creating the agency. While the citation type is left to the groups preference, the same type of citations should appear throughout the work to maintain integrity of the paper.
