STATE - Thermodynamics:
The State of system is its condition or configuration described in detail.
State is the condition of the system which is identified by thermodynamic properties such as pressure, temperature, etc. The number of properties needed to describe a system depends upon nature of system. However each property has single value at each state. Each state can be represented by point on graph with any two properties as coordinates.
Any operation in which one or more properties of a system change is called as change of state.
