State the issues relating to the public policy
We shall focus on the issues relating to the public policy in an open economy setting in a bit more technical way. While approaching to open economy public policy formulation, the main stumbling block comes in the form of coordination of different policies of and between different countries. We know that coordination aims at achieving a harmonious macroeconomic policy mix comprising fiscal and other policies that are both mutually compatible and consistent with the objectives.
