State at least one huge advancement and benefit

Problem

in the past, creating transgenic organisms has been time-consuming, inefficient, and undirected. The discovery of the CRISPR system dramatically simplified the gene-tinkering process. With CRISPR, the production of transgenic organisms is faster, cheaper, more efficient, and directed. Watch the provided videos for an overview of the CRISPR system and how it works. Then, do a little research on your own to investigate why this technique is both powerful and scary. What's your opinion? Should the CRISPR system be used for human gene-editing?

Your initial post should

a) State at least one huge advancement and/or benefit that could come from use of the CRISPR system.
b) State at least one reason why use of the CRISPR system should be approached with caution.
c) Consider the discovery and use of CRISPR to be more exciting or fearful? Explain your reasoning.
