Problem:
My strict moral compass guides my actions and decisions. Formed from the wisdom of my grandmother and the responsibility I feel to my daughters. I value integrity and honesty, and I hold myself accountable for these ethics. I believe in standing for what is right, even when it is challenging. A conviction reinforced by my grandmother's example and my desire to model courage for my daughters. While I am driven and focused, I also recognize the importance of balance and self-care, making sure my purpose does not obscure my compassion for others. I have a clear vision of my goals and work diligently to achieve them, often setting high standards for myself and others around me. My compassion and empathy allow me to connect intimately with others, and I strive to understand their views and feelings. I believe that kindness is essential in all relationships and make it a priority to support those in need. Social comparison affects also how I understand myself. Guided by Fastener's idea that we evaluate our abilities and opinions by comparing them to others (Festinger, 1954). I notice that my Type A drive often prompts upward comparisons to competent colleagues and advisors. Instead of fueling perfectionism, I try to use these comparisons as drive and a roadmap for growth. Also, I practice balanced downward and lateral comparisons. Recognizing how far I've come and appreciating peers who share similar challenges, which protects my self-esteem and keeps me centered in gratitude. By choosing healthy reference groups, limiting harmful social media cues and returning to my core morals of respect and empathy, I keep comparisons constructive and consistent with who I strive to be. As I continue to navigate through life, I intend to cultivate a deeper sense of self-awareness and strength. I strive to inspire others through my actions and to foster an environment where sympathy and strong morals are celebrated. My journey represents one of growth, and I am dedicated to evolving into the best version of myself. Need Assignment Help?
