Spider Naevus:
It is found on the cheeks, nose and sometimes other parts of the face as a central bright-red vessel about the size of a pin-point with smaller vessels radiating from it of 3 to 7 mm. Since this picture resembles the body and legs of the spider, it is called spider naevus. One or more of these lesions may occur in a single individual. A spider naevus bleeds easily. Management consists of obliterating the central point with electrolysis or with the epilating current of a diathermy unit. The results are satisfactory in experienced hands.
Simple Superficial Capillary Haemangioma:
It is seen as a superficial circumscribed, pink patch, which disappears on pressure or diascopy. It is usually seen on the neck and face, It responds best to Thorium X-ray and Laser.
