Speed of the rod end just after ejection

A thin uniform rod of length 0.217 m and mass M rotating horizontally at the angular speed of 13.3 rad/s around an axis via its center. A particle of mass M/3.00 primarily joined to one end is ejected from the rod and travels all along a path which is perpendicular to the rod at the instant of ejection. When the particle's speed vp is 5.35 m/s greater than the speed of the rod end just after ejection, determine the value of vp?
