Specifically reference explain and assess one or more

For your paper, you will be writing a 800-word argumentative essay on happiness. In particular, you need to address the following question:
how can happiness be achieved in a world of suffering? The goal of this paper will be for you to respond to the discussions of happiness we have been reading about in The Consolations of Philosophy by responding with your own sets of arguments. In order to write a successful paper you will need to do the following:

specifically reference, explain, and assess one or more arguments presented in The Consolations of Philosophy

contain a clear thesis, with clear supporting arguments

each part of the paper should contain and be supported by arguments

conform to the basic collegiate scholarship standards

any quotes must be cited

be grammatical

Although you do not need to include research beyond the book, it is highly recommended that you do external research on the argument/philosopher you are addressing, incorporate related ideas, and cite things accordingly.

For my opinion:

I will focus on what makes people feel happiness, chat with a friend who is long times no see, or buy something you really want. Is the happiness of real life more important than the happiness of the spiritual world. How should we compare those two elements? How do those could bring happiness to you? Can we be more happiness by ourselves? And I will use "we are happy if we are not in active pain." from our book.

Classmate reply:

I like that you mentioned the difference between happiness in real life versus happiness of the spiritual world, definitely interesting! Since we have to write a few questions, here are a few:

1) What's the difference between secular and spiritual happiness?

2) How do material items relate to happiness and pleasure, or are they even relevant?
