Women have a long history of being considered inferior to men. However, during the middle to the late 20th century, the women's rights movement began to improve the plight of women in Western society by granting them access to societal positions previously held only by men.

Some people claim that women have finally achieved equality with men in the 21st century; others are not convinced.

How will you describe the status of equality between men and women in contemporary Western culture?

The problem here is all about Gender Equality. Women encompass a long history of being considered lesser to men. Though, throughout the middle to late 20th century, the women's rights movement starts to enhance the plight of women in Western society via granting them access to societal positions formerly held only by men. A few people claim that women have at last accomplished equality with men in the 21st century; others are not convinced. 1) Illustrate how will you explain the status of equality between men and women in the contemporary Western culture? 2) Do you notice any main regions where women are still discriminated against on a big scale? If so, provide at least two illustrations. If not, validate your views.
