Question: Some hospitality enterprise entrepreneurs, even with limited education, have successfully operated their businesses for many years. They have probably never heard of management by objectives (MBO). Their only goal is to work hard and make an adequate profit. In your opinion, and given examples from your own experience and/or observations where this might be helpful, explain why they are successful. If they are successful, why should they bother using managerial techniques such as MBO?
