Solving equations-inequalities by indicated method

Assignment:

Solve any 6 equations/inequalities by the indicated method.  If no method is indicated then you can solve either algebraically or graphically. Solution by graphing requires a sketch of the graph or a written description of the graph and where the solution lies.

1) -x3 + 2x2 + 3x -5 =0,  solve graphically.

2) x2 + 8x –2 = 0, solve using the quadratic formula

3) √(2x - 1)= 3

4) (5x - 3)2/3 = 9

5) 3[x - 2(6x - 1)] > 4 - 5x, solve algebraically

6) x2 - 6x + 8 > 0,  solve graphically or by the sign chart – explain what the answer means.

7) x / x2 - 4 + 1/x + 2 = 3

Provide complete and step by step solution for the question and show calculations and use formulas.
