SOIL GENESIS
Soil a product of evolution, is constantly changing as the landscape changes. It is a product of the interaction of five factors: parent material, climate, organisms, topography, and time. The climate and living organisms act on the parent material, while the topography (or local relief) exerts a modifying influence and time allows the soil-forming processes to take place.
