Choose a data set and dependent variable (AKA outcome) and choose three independent variables (AKA predictors, one nominal, one ordinal, and one interval) using the data spreadsheet available on the course web page. Please note that the spreadsheet includes comments for each dependent variable and hyperlinks to the datasets. As always, it's good practice to type -notes- when you open a data set to see what information the data set includes.
1. How is your outcome ('Y' hereafter) distributed? Produce a kernel density plot of Y and describe its shape in text.
2. Are there differences in the distribution of Y by the nominal/ordinal independent variables (X)? Produce boxplots to compare distributions of Y by each nominal and ordinal X. Consider cutpoints (25th, 50th and 75th percentiles), areas of overlap across groups and differences in skew, if any. Describe the patterns, if any, in the associations you see.
3. Regress Y on your interval X. Interpret the regression equation.
Please include all relevant graphs and your .log file and with your assignment. You may include these as Appendix 1 and 2, respectively.
