Reasons for Increased Economic Inequality/Suggestions for Reducing Inequality
Exchange your thoughts about the possible reasons for the increase in economic or social class inequality in the U.S. over the last few decades.
Which factors might have led the rich to get richer and the middle, working, and lower classes to struggle harder with incomes that have remained relatively flat? For one or two of the reasons you listed, make suggestions of how one could reduce economic inequality. Be explicit about how causes for the increase and ways to reduce inequality are linked to one another.
If one of the reasons for the increased gap between the rich and the poor is that minimum wage has not kept up with inflation, then one way to reduce the gap would be to raise minimum wage.
