In contrast, Freudian psychoanalysis explains human behaviour by reference to perpetual conflicts based on the competing demands of the id, superego and the ego, which often lead to anxiety. According to Freud, these conflicts are usually the products of repressed sexual and aggressive urges from early childhood. You need to evaluate this insight, and the validity and rigorousness of using unconscious motivation as an explanatory factor.
