Social inequality is the separation of different classes

Social inequality is the separation of different classes within a population due to differences in opportunities, wealth, prestige, power and etc. amongst its people. Socail stratification is the relative social position of persons within a social group, category, geographic region, or social unit. Inequality in a society exists because of the differences amongst the inhabitants of that population. For instance a persons job, family background, disabilities, etc. that all play a factor in their social standing. These things may provide opportunity or they may cause setbacks. These inequalities will always play a factor in peoples lives seeing as there will always be differences among people.

If I was to choose between wealth, prestige, and power that would be quite difficult. Wealth can buy you power. But power can get you all the things money can. Prestige can help you pull strings to get into a position of power or perhaps get that anonymous donation. And so on and so forth. In a sense these three things are equal, depending. But if I had to choose I would select wealth. Everyone seems to be out for the almighty dollar these days. Wealth can buy you into whatever class you prefer and depending on how much you have it can keep you there.

In the article it shows that Caucasians and Asians acquire the most "wealth" while African Americans and Hispanics make less. In my opinion this is obviously because of opportunity. Especially in 2017 I think we can all see some of the reasons for these setbacks and how they have affected the different classes. The only thing that can improve this is time and hard work.

Would you agree with this and if so explain why
