1. Small cells have more surface area per volume than larger cells. This allows for sufficient nutrients to enter and rid itself of wastes. Cell division restores the amount of space needed to allow the exchange of materials. Larger cells have limited surface area.
2. The cell membrane diagram is reversed and incorrect. This displays the polar heads towards the inside and facing each other, with the tails facing outwards. The heads should be facing towards the outside with the tails inside.
