Problem:
Skills-Based Training Session Demonstration. Students (in their assigned groups) will assume the role of trainers for a local community agency for children and families. In a simulation format, students will train new employees on a particular approach, intervention or population-specific educational tool discussed in class or in the readings (e.g., play therapy, group work, TF-CBT, school-based interventions). This training information must (1) describe assessment strategies and any ethical considerations, (2) describe and demonstrate specific intervention methods, and (3) include any other elements that are essential for working with the chosen population (e.g., children experiencing interpersonal violence, families experiencing immigration or relocation). In addition, students will evaluate the training sessions of at least 3 other groups. This assignment will be a demonstration of simulated practice skills and a teaching tool for classmates. Additional information on the assignment, as well as a grading rubric, will be posted on Canvas. Addresses competencies 6,7, 8, and 9. Need Assignment Help?
