Imagine you have found a great job opening to join a team that perfectly suits your own interests. You have a good resume online, but unless the posting specifically says not to, you need to include a great cover letter as a way to “build your brand.”
Since the company featured team skills prominently among the job requirements, write the one or two paragraphs you would include to showcase your potential value as a team member. Be sure to include (a) your real--or, for this assignment, invented--experience in the team development process, (b) the task and maintenance roles you can play, and (c) other general reasons your background and/or education uniquely qualify you for the job.
Preface your answer with a line or two from the job listing that identifies the open position and its industry sector.
