Should we return to the original view of the constitution

Problem

McCulloch v. Maryland (1819) expanded the Enumerated Powers of the Constitution, and enabled intrusion into Reserved Powers by creating a third concept of governing power, Implied Power. The ruling set the stage for the growth of national government. Should we return to the original view of the Constitution or should we continue to expand the interdependency of local, state, and federal relations?
