The U.S. has weaker toy safety laws than Europe and Canada. Furthermore, regulation may very state by state. After lead paint was found in toys from China, Toys R Us began testing the toys it sells itself. Should we abandon state and federal regulation and rely on companies to keep our children safe? Why or why not?
