Mary has always been a good student. In high school she was a member of the Young Republican Club and was an officer in the Honor Society. She is now in her second year at Evergreen College, a college that is considered liberal. Much to her parents' dismay, Mary has participated in anti-war demonstrations and has joined a club that works to decriminalize marijuana. She would like to join the Peace Corps after college.
