Assignment Forum: Anthropology in Today's World
Choose one of these two options for your initial post:
Forum Question: Share an experience you've personally had with ethnocentrism. How did this experience have an impact on you and/or others in the moment? What was a potential solution to educate those involved in this experience about minimizing ethnocentrism?
Forum Question: Share a piece of news about an ethnocentric experience or event. How is this an example of ethnocentrism? What people were affected? How could ethnocentrism have been minimized in this case?
Instructions for all Forums:
Post one initial post per week. This post must demonstrate comprehension of the course materials, the ability to apply that knowledge in the real world. Learners will engage with the instructor and peers throughout the learning week. To motivate engaged discussion, posts are expected to be on time with regular interaction throughout the week. All posts should demonstrate college level writing skills. To promote vibrant discussion as we would in a face to face classroom, formatted citations and references are not required. Quotes should not be used at all, or used sparingly.
The response should include a reference list. Double-space, using Times New Roman 12 pnt font, one-inch margins, and APA style of writing and citations.
