Self-reflection is only one aspect of critical thinking that can have a positive impact on a researcher’s ability to understand difficult problems. However, when it comes to interpreting the data from a survey or an interview, self-reflection will play a minor role compared to the analysis necessary to adequately identify and understand the possible patterns and concepts that will emerge.
