For this assignment, I’d like you to select a controversial topic and write a well-organized essay that persuades your audience to adopt your personal beliefs on that issue. Imagine your audience as a group of people who might not know much about the issue and therefore would need a little background information on the issue (I’m not the audience for this essay). Remember to be as detailed as possible and consider all of the questions listed above when writing. Remember, you want your writers to know exactly where you stand on this issue. So it’s not wise to ‘sit on the fence’ when writing this paper. Remember to include relevant examples that help you make your claim and explain their relevance to the issue as a whole. For this assignment, I’d also like you to include at least TWO outside sources, with at least one of the sources coming from a peer reviewed journal or database.
While you are selecting a topic that represents your position on the issue, use third person point of view when writing this essay.
