Select any "product category" with three competitive and highly visible brands. Be sure to narrow your choices down to the brandsfirst, especially since most businesses have multiple options, but you are allowed to compare companies.

Then, you have to make another selection. The exception is product categories that have more than one segment, such as automotive (i.e., luxury, sports, vans, economy, cross-over) or have many competitive brands within the same segment.

Step 2. Compare social media activities

The compare the utilization of social media with digital marketing by the brand you selected. This includes the most popular social media platforms, such as Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram, and other relevant but less frequently used sites, like Pinterest, Snapchat, or Periscope. Your analysis is a combination personal comments and research on their social media program, plus their connection to the brand's website, keywords used for search results, video advertising, and evidence of engagements/interaction with mobile apps.

IMPORTANT: Do NOT just describe what you see on the social media page, or summarize its content. Focus on content strategy and communication with the assumed target audience. You should begin with library or online "research" about the activities and programsassociated with these brands. Any information about how your brand uses social media is desirable. So, check industry reports, business, and tech publications in the APA format to support your comments.


IMPORTANT: Length of the paper is 10 -12 pages, double spaced, using APA style for citations. Include screen capture shots of social media pages and website as part of the Appendix, as well as any other relevant content. Summary tables and comparison charts are encouraged, plus timeline graphs, images, or illustrations.
