Retail Locational Analysis
Select a store (independent, chain, multi-unit, etc.) of your choice that falls into the category assigned to you, and explain the factors that would be most important in its location. Convenience stores sell basically lower-priced, frequently-purchased items. Specialty stores sell more unique, higher-priced merchandise. Discount stores (often large chains) and the newer deep discounters (Family Dollar, etc.) sell with price as the appeal. Department stores, while traditionally mid to higher priced, have include a new, lower priced/self service category.
