Problem 1: Begin by searching for a job posting for a RECE position that matches your interests. Attach a copy of the posting to your assignment; use a digital highlighter to highlight key responsibilities, qualifications and employer needs.
Problem 2: Once you find the posting, compose your Cover Letter, Resume and provide Professional References as if applying to the job posting identified above.
Problem 3: The Cover Letter should provide a rationale on why you chose this posting and what it would mean for you to work for the chosen organization. Pay attention to your assets and illustrate how they meet the employer's needs.
Problem 4: The Resume should include: a career profile; highlight your skills as an ECE, education (only include Post-Secondary education, consider your education from another country, if applicable), employment experience, practicum experience and any other volunteer experience. *Please note, if you are currently not doing practicum, please connect with your course professor so they can make note of this for your final evaluation.
Problem 5: Finally, include three (3) Professional References who can vouch for your abilities as a professional. Consider reaching out to the following, Director, Supervisor, Field Practicum Teacher and or Supervisor. Please note, that family and personal friendships should not be considered.
