Task Summary: You will be required to select and use bearings, seals, gaskets, sealants and adhesives in the automotive vehicle industry. It involves: • an initial preparation of all resources, ie. tools, equipment, materials and PPE • sourcing and establishing work instructions, procedures and manufacturer's specifications to source and become familiar with to complete all tasks • preparing and installing bearings, seals and gaskets • selecting and using sealants and adhesives • following WHS and environmental requirements • conducting a final inspection to ensure work meets workplace expectations • completing workplace processes and documentation (job card). All tools, equipment and materials will be made available to you. Ensure appropriate PPE is worn at all types when in the training workshop. You will be required to satisfactorily complete all requirements for this assessment, according to workplace procedures and manufacturer specifications before you receive your final result for this unit.
