The mean stopping distance of Tire F is 51 feet with a sample standard deviation of 8 feet. the mean stopping distance of Tire M iss 55 feet with a sample standard deviation of 3 feet. we sampled 10 Tire F's and 12 Tire M's. can we conclude that there is a difference in the mean stopping distances of the two types of tires? use alpha = 0.01. assume the populations are normally distributed and that the populations variances are not equal.
