Roles and relationships in different cultures

Problem:

How can I make notes with bullet points in this paragraph? Cultural Context: Peer Roles and Relationships in Different Cultures Peers' roles vary in different cultures. Compared with U.S. youths, adolescents in Japan and China spend less time with peers, and their parents' values play a more prominent role (Chen, Chung et al., 2011; Rothbaum, Pott, et al., 2000). Latino children, similarly, are more family oriented and less influenced by peers (DeRosier & Kupersmidt, 1991). Their parents often directly discourage peer interactions (Ladd, 2005; Schneider, 2000). Even styles of relating to peers vary across cultures. Italian children are more likely than Canadian children to embrace debates and disputes with their friends, and, perhaps as a result of their tolerance for conflict, their Peers as Socializers 307 friendships are more stable (Casiglia et al., 1998). Children in China, India, and Korea are more cooperative and compliant with their peers than are children in Canada and the United States (Farver et al., 1995). In one study, for example, researchers found that 85 percent of Chinese 5-year-olds' interactions with peers were cooperative and considerate; whereas 78 percent of Canadian children's interactions involved conflicts from simple disagreements to aggres sive attacks (Orlick et al., 1990).
