In this scenario, assume the role of a medical director of a primary care physician practice with two offices. Your practice services a full spectrum of patients running an electronic health record and billing and claims management applications as well as an active website that includes an interactive patient portal. You just went to a Continuing Medical Education (CME) webinar where a speaker reviewed the upcoming deadline when Microsoft Windows 7 Systems will no longer be supported. You know that your practice has Windows 7 computers running currently. For your initial post, discuss at least five of the threat categories outlined in Figure 12-16 in terms of how they might apply to the upcoming Windows 7 support deadline and its effect on your medical practice.
