Role of accounting in managing a business or organisation

Assignment:

Assessment

This is a staged submission report whereby submission follows the associated weekly topics. The individual business plan is provided as a formalised structured digital template which requires you to periodically load your responses. This activity is an important demonstration of the consolidation of your knowledge gained throughout the semester. Submission dates for each stage are embedded in the report template. You will be provided with marked feedback at each stage.

Your deadlines for this report are:

1) Cover page, business idea, business structure and business diagram

2) Measuring success and Cost identification

3) CSR and Break-even calculation

4) Ratio analysis and submit your report to Canvas Turnitin for similarity check (submission instruction will be provided to you in later weeks).

Please note: Once the deadline has passed, the relevant section will be locked from further editing. For example, after 25th/08, you would NOT be able to change your business idea. So make sure you finalise your response early.

Note 2: Since you are unable to change your response after the deadline, if your final report has a very high similarity rate, you would NOT be able re-write your report. So do not copy other's work from the beginning.

Your Business Plan commences with an' idea' for your business. It can be a new product or a new idea to improve business performance of your company. "Your business summary should focus on why your business is going to be successful as a result of your innovative "idea" or initiative. Begin with a brief overview of your company, and then complete the following table and describe the new product/service you are proposing? Explain your idea that you would like to adopt. Why would it be useful for your organisation?" Note, your 'idea' can be for an existing company or for a fictitious company.

To start doing your report:

1) Go to arity.accountancyresearch.org

2) Your username would be your RMIT student email (lowercase: [email protected] or [email protected] for exchange students from RMIT Vietnam Campus)

3) Your password will be your RMIT student ID (digits only, no leading "s": 1234567)

4) If you encountered any technical issue with the system, please contact [email protected]

In addition to completing the case study requirements you will also add in your Assessment 1 submission, evidence of the completion of the RMIT micro-credential Academic Integrity Awareness, which is designed to assist you with improving integrity, honesty and fairness in your scholarly work. You will be required to demonstrate the knowledge you have learnt in completing your Academic Integrity Awareness micro credential via your referencing and formatting choices within your report. You may access this through this Canvas site by clicking ‘Modules' on the left-hand sidebar and navigating to the Creds module.
