Your reading on depressive disorders reported that the average age of onset for the development of depression is usually in the mid-20's, but has been decreasing over time. What are your thoughts on why this might be? (300 to 400 Words).
Introduction to Sociology
Choose one of the following prompts and respond to it in no less than 300-400 words. In your response, you must fully answer all aspects of the question and support your answer with reference to course materials (textbook, supplementary readings, videos, etc).
a) Why would a sociologist choose quantitative or qualitative research methods for a study? What does either branch of methodology allow the sociologist to do and not do? Propose a sociological question that you think either branch of research might be able to answer better than the other.
b) Pick one of the specific sociological topics outlined in the following chapters of your book: Demography, Aging, Economy, Family, Religion, Health and Medicine, or Collective Behavior. Based on what the chapter has to say about the specific topic you choose, discuss what research methods you think would be most applicable to studying it.
Juvenile Delinquency
In 3-4 paragraphs, review the case of Graham v. Florida. Summarize the case, the findings, the conclusion and in your opinion, did the court make the right decision?
